Kristine Lyon's Graphic 3 Assignment
The images below were produced using Adobe Photoshop. Feeling uninspired while looking at a blank screen in Adobe Procreate for iPad, I found myself doodling flowers similar to those that litter the corners of handouts and scrap paper. Pleased with my final flower doodle, I exported the file to Photoshop to add text of a name for a fictional floral shop.
It was a simple change to create the grayscale version of the logo, but simply using the black and white tool would not create enough of a contrast for a black and white version of the logo. To create the black and white version I also needed to manipulate the brightness and contrast to take the shading out of the flowers. Manipulating the image with Photoshop's built in 3D image creator was interesting. I made some changes to the viewing angle and shadows based on light source more by chance than through purposeful process. It's certainly a feature I will need to learn much more about.
The additional color, grayscale, and black and white images were simply sized down by changing the pixel count and the cropped to create smaller file sizes for web use.
